Our catering menu items are vast and mostly seasonal depending on what the event and attendance. We work with the client to go over every item as it pertains to us helping to make your celeabration memorable.

   A few answers to catering questions we have received.

What types of events do you cater?

We do Weddings, Film/Television/Commercial Sets, Festivals, Birthdays, Parties, Church Gatherings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Office Parties, Picnics, Meetings, or Any Special Event!

What are your minimum requirements for catering events?

With limited exceptions, the minimum price for a catered event is $500. On Fridays & Saturdays, the minimum is $750.(delivery fees may apply, depending on distance from home).

Do I need to secure a parking spot for the truck?

We require that our customers guarantee parking for the date of the event. The truck cannot be parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or in any illegal parking spot.

 Our  truck dimensions are: Height: 12′, Length: 30′, Width: 9.5′
If we have to move from original parking location. Setting the truck back up takes about half an hour. once parked.
 If we are unable to park on-location the day of the event, the catering service will be canceled, and Waffler truck will keep the payment in full.

Is there a service charge? And is that separate from gratuity?

No. All costs are explained with client. Gratuity is separate, and is at the customer’s discretion.

Do you charge a travel fee?

There is no travel fee with a 15-mile radius of Ross twp, pa (15237) ; after that, there is a small fee per mile to help cover gas and other transportation costs.

Does the client  have to provide a permit for the truck to cater the event?

Additional permits are not required in most of Allegheny county. Other areas may require additional permits, at the customer’s cost. Please let us know the details of the event location and we will help determine whether there will be any additional fees for necessary permits out of our area.

Does the customer need to provide plates, utensils, & napkins?

When serving from the truck (whether a la carte or unlimited), we provide disposable serving dishes, utensils, and napkins. When serving hors d’hoeuvres, we use disposable serving trays, which some clients choose to replace with their own serving platters.

Is the customer responsible for trash?

Yes, We do provide 2 tall trash cans and bags. We do ask that the client  remove the trash for disposal at the end of the event. The truck is responsible for trash disposal within the truck only.

How far in advance do I need to book an event?

We require at least a week’s notice for catered events, though the sooner you book the more likely  you can secure your date.

When do you need a deposit vs. full payment?

We require a 50% deposit to secure any event. Payment in full is required 72 hours prior to the event.

                                  If the event is canceled:

 -21 days or more prior to the event date: the full deposit will be refunded

 -15-20 days prior to the event date: 50% of the deposit will be refunded

 1-14 days prior to the event date: the full deposit will be retained by us

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit cards, checks. Credit card payments require a 3.5% processing fee.
